HOW TO: Create a user with read-only access to Informatica Administrator in Informatica 9.0.1
Solution:
To grant read-only access to a user in Informatica 9.0.1, do the following:
1.Log in to Informatica Administrator as administrator or any other user with domain administration privileges.
2.Click the Security tab (5th tab in the list).
3.Create a new user.
4.Click the newly created user and go to the Privileges tab.
5.Click Edit. You can see two tabs called Roles and Privileges.
6.Go to the Privileges.
7.Expand the Domain and go to Tools > Access Informatica Administrator.
8.Click OK.
9.Go back to the Domain tab.
10.Click Domain and go to Permissions (4th button). You can see Users with Object Permissions.
11.Edit it and add your newly created user to the Users with Permissions list. Click OK.
You created a user with read-only access to Informatica Administrator. To test, log out and log in as the new user. You should not be able to edit anything, but you can navigate and check things.
